On May 4th, 2012 I got the amazing opportunity to investigate the Villisca Ax Murder House in Villisca, Iowa. Here is a short run down of why this house is so famous. On June 10th, 1912 eight people were murdered, bludgeoned to death with an ax while they slept in their beds. The entire Moore family(two parents and their four children)and two visiting little girls were murdered.

The killer has never been identified.

To my amazement it was clearly and honestly the most haunted location that I have investigated and have ever visited for that matter. My team consisted of two others and myself. Although we could only conduct our investigation during daylight hours...we ended up catching some amazing class A EVPs!

When we went into the house we went straight into the downstairs parlor/sewing room/room that the Stillinger girls Lena and Ina had slept and were murdered in. I sat down on the bed and immediately started  recording and asking questions. Having been in the room for only a few minutes we were suddenly and viciously attacked my a blast of ice cold air followed by sudden hair raising chills. A presence definitely made itself known to us. Even though there was a window AC unit, it was not turned on nor were any vents blowing cold air. Not to mention it was hot in the house with absolutely no drafts coming from any secret location. Believe me...we checked and double checked, and checked again! Nothing could explain this other then it was a clear tell tale sign that we weren't the only spirits in the room...there was only one exception....we were the only ones that were alive.

We then ventured into the living room area. I stood in the middle of the room while the other investigators were sitting. I asked a question to the spirits in the house and a little girls voice could be heard answering me loud and clear. It startled one investigator to which her eyes grew large and her mouth dropped open unable to make a sound. Yes...this was her first investigation. I thought it was pretty cool and was honored that the spirit had answered my question. I'm always grateful when a spirit talks to me and trusts me enough to let me know that they are present. Contrary to what some may believe...most spirits do not hide and lurk in the dark. Most of them want to be heard and they want their presence to be known. They seek answers and companionship just as we the living do. They just do not have a complete ability to do so. So they make their presence known in various ways...any way that they can. One thing is for certain...they do like to communicate with us.

After hanging out in the living room for awhile we ventured upstairs. We were first greeted my the small master bedroom at the top of the stairs. There was a queen bed, dresser with a covered up mirror, and an old wooden rocking chair. My two investigators stayed in the room while I went a little further down to the children's bedroom. While I was conducting an audio investigation, the two others witnessed the rocking chair start to rock back and forth. Again there was no wind and no explanation to why this was happening. Then it suddenly stopped. There was no hidden mechanism attached to the chair to remotely make it move. Of course when I found out about it I tried to debunk it. At first I thought it was due to the floor boards. I jumped and jumped on the floor, wiggled the stair railing...nothing. It didn't even budge! How would you explain this? Right after this the chain in the attic started swaying back and forth. This was after I stopped jumping on the floor. Even after 20 minutes the chain would stop and start moving again. This is when for the first time I attempted the provoking method. I said some not so nice words to the spirit trying to evoke a response. I sure got it in the form of EVP. The spirit in turn called me a couple of not so nice names that I don't really care to repeat. Note: You can hear this EVP in my video that I made.
